General exemption policy for admission as TMA Full Member

The PMC will also take into account the relevant professional
qualifications, years of experience and position held of an applicant in
considering giving exemption. For the time being, the
following qualifications have been considered by the PMC for exemption of
the required professional qualifications criteria:
• A candidate with the qualifications of Chartered
Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified International Investment Analyst (CIIA) or
Financial Risk Management (FRM) and having at least 5
years relevant experience in the past 10 years and holding a
managerial or specialist position is eligible to attain the TMA Full membership
requirement.
• A candidate with the qualifications of Chartered
Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified International Investment Analyst (CIIA) or
Financial Risk Management (FRM) should enroll and pass Module
1: Financial Markets and Treasury Management of the Graduate Certificate in
Treasury Market Management to attain the TMA Full membership
requirement.
• A candidate without
qualifications of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified International
Investment Analyst (CIIA) or Financial Risk Management (FRM) but having at least
10 years relevant experience and holding a managerial or specialist
position should enroll and pass the
Code of Conduct and Practice of the TMA examination (Advanced Level) to
attain the TMA Full membership requirement.
Applications under these exemption criteria will be considered on a
case by case basis
and will be subject to the final decision and approval of the Membership Sub-Committee and Professional Membership Committee
of TMA.
